VISIT TAMPA BAY LAUNCHES “MEETING THE MOMENT” PROGRAM TO RECOGNIZE POSITIVE IMPACT OF MEETINGS AND CONVENTIONS

Honorees to be Recognized for Exemplary Contributions to the Tampa Bay Community

TAMPA, FL (November 6, 2024) – Visit Tampa Bay is proud to introduce the “Meeting the Moment” program, an initiative designed to celebrate the significant, positive impact that meetings and conventions bring to the Tampa Bay community. This program highlights organizations and events that incorporate sustainable practices, community engagement, and inclusivity, setting a new standard for industry excellence.

The "Meeting the Moment" program will annually honor organizations and events that go beyond economic contributions, showcasing a deep commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Honorees will be recognized for integrating sustainable practices, social responsibility, and community-focused initiatives that leave a lasting, positive impact on the local community. Categories of recognition include Sustainability Champion, Community Engagement Excellence, and Social Inclusion Advocate to highlight outstanding contributions across multiple areas of CSR.

ABOUT THE MEETING THE MOMENT PROGRAM
Visit Tampa Bay’s “Meeting the Moment” Program was established to honor events that inspire future gatherings by promoting environmental stewardship, engaging with local organizations, and championing diversity and inclusion. Award recipients gain brand visibility through Visit Tampa Bay’s marketing platforms, are featured in media campaigns, and will be celebrated at a special recognition ceremony during National Tourism Week.
