Tampa's Civic Pride Nighttime Parade

For more than 50 years, the Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago Illuminated Knight Parade has brought Tampa’s history, culture and civic pride to life in the heart of historic Ybor City. Since 1974, this annual nighttime celebration has transformed Seventh Avenue into a dazzling spectacle of illuminated floats, elaborate costumes, marching bands, beads and festive revelry.

More than 100 organizations participate each year, including local government officials, dignitaries, businesses and krewes from throughout Tampa Bay. As the sun sets, thousands of spectators line the streets to take in the music, pageantry and colorful procession against the backdrop of Ybor City’s historic architecture.

Part of Tampa Bay’s celebrated Gasparilla Season, the Knight Parade offers a distinctly Ybor City take on the festivities while celebrating the area’s rich Latin heritage and culture.
