TAMPA BAY EARNS SIX AWARDS FOR MARKETING EXCELLENCE AT 2025 FLORIDA GOVERNOR’S CONFERENCE ON TOURISM

Outstanding Tourism Marketing by Visit Tampa Bay and ZooTampa Recognized by Florida Hospitality Community

 


Tampa, FL (Sep. 3, 2025) – Six Flagler Awards for outstanding tourism marketing are headed back to Hillsborough County after Visit Tampa Bay earned five - three Henrys (first place) and two Silvers - and ZooTampa took home a Bronze during the annual Chairman’s Dinner at the 2025 Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism Wednesday night at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate.

“It’s a tremendous honor to have the Florida tourism community recognize the marketing efforts of the Visit Tampa Bay team,” said Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay. “And our congratulations to our friends at ZooTampa for their recognition, too. Everyone involved is 100% committed to creating the highest quality and most effective marketing products we can. Not for awards and recognition, but because the more effective our efforts are, the greater and more positive the impact we have on the economy of our county, our region, and our state.” 

In its 25th year celebrating tourism marketing excellence in Florida, the Flagler Awards drew more than 300 entries this year--a record-breaking number--from individuals, private businesses and not-for-profit organizations offering a product or service that promotes tourism to or within the state of Florida.

Working independently, a diverse panel of twelve judges evaluated the creativity, innovation, production quality, and effectiveness of each entry. Based on the cumulative scores of an independent panel of judges, awards were presented to the top three entries in eighteen categories, with the highest-scoring entry in each category earning the Henry Award.

Visit Tampa Bay earned the following 2025 Flagler Awards:

  • The Henry Award in the Tourism Advocacy category for “Everyday Champions: Celebrating Hospitality Excellence”
  • The Henry Award in the Resource/Promotional Material-Trade category for “Meeting the Moment”
  • The Henry Award in the Out-of-Home category for Digital-Out-of-Home Campaign Germany in collaboration with the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau
  • The Silver Award in the Special Event category for “London Art Fair: Art Meets Sunshine”
  • The Silver Award in the Websites category for “Live Bold. Work Smart. Make It Tampa Bay”

ZooTampa at Lowry Park also claimed a 2025 Flagler Award – Bronze in the Mobile Marketing category for “Creatures of the Night."
