ROC the Block Inc is a Non-Profit organization comprised of a team of creative individuals with a vision to help “Recondition Our Communities” through community driven events and cultural festivals. Our Annual Juneteenth Festivals have been held at Raymond James Stadium, a facility that hosts NFL games of Tampa Bay Buccaneers and accessible to every resident of Tampa and Hillsborough County and beyond.

We have been organizing community driven events and cultural festivals in the Tampa Bay Area since 2021. These events have attracted small businesses in various fields, including entertainment, fashion, food and beverages, travel, health & wellness, arts and more. In 2023, our signature Juneteenth Festival drew more than 3000 visitors to a family-friendly weekend of fun and celebration at Raymond James Stadium.

ROC the Block Inc’s Juneteenth Festival is designed to bring the community together and display the rich and diverse culture of Tampa Bay. Being a historical festival, the Juneteenth celebration recalls and highlights the history of the African American community, which is the second largest population of the county, according to the US Census Bureau figures for Hillsborough County, FL (July 1, 2023 [v2023]). Since 2021, the ROC the Block Juneteenth events have featured African American culture in dances, fashion, music, drama etc. in a family-oriented atmosphere for kids and adults. Different cultural organizations have participated and continue to feature in the celebrations yearly.

Visitors from across the nation have attended the Juneteenth Festival. Influx of tourists into the area means local businesses, the city, county, and state witness an uptick in revenue annually.
