La Teresita Cuban Restaurant in Tampa has a rich and storied history. It began as a humble grocery store and sandwich shop in the 1970s, founded by Maximino and Coralia Capdevila, who were immigrants from Cuba that fled to the United States to escape political unrest. Over the years, the business evolved into a beloved dining institution known for its authentic Cuban cuisine, generous portions, and affordable prices.

Serving traditional Cuban and Spanish dishes the restaurant is centrally located in a Spanish neighborhood in the Tampa Bay Area minutes from the airport, Raymond James Stadium, and International Mall. A favorite food, Ropa vieja, which translates from Spanish to English to "old clothes" is a favorite among our clients.
