Stylish and sophisticated, Oxford Exchange is housed in a historic building near the University of Tampa. In the years since it opened, the combination of restaurant, coffee bar, bookstore and home décor shop has become a popular place for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
A hidden gem right around the corner from the Tampa Theatre, Supernatural features some amazing breakfast sandwiches and the best sourdough donuts you've ever had. Grab a table outside the shop or walk a few minutes to Curtis Hixon to enjoy your breakfast on the water.
A Tampa staple, Datz features an eclectic menu including a Chicken n' Waffle Benedict, shrimp and grits, and biscuits and gravy. It's always a lot, some come hungry.
Hyde Park, a neighborhood of walkable, tree-covered streets known for its meticulously preserved Arts-and-Crafts bungalows dating from the 1920s. Hyde Park Village is an open-air shopping district within the neighborhood with great mural photo opportunities!
The Candle Pour is a custom candle-making experience that allows you to create your own candle from your choice of over 100 different fragrance oils. The process in our shop only takes about 45 minutes for all products. Once your candle is poured, it will need to set for 2 hours before it is ready to go home (most of our flameless options can be taken with you immediately). Hyde Park provides several great options for shopping, restaurant, theatre & fitness to fill your time while you wait. **Candles need a minimum of 2 hours to set, don’t forget to leave time to pick it up.
Since you'll already be in Hyde Park Village waiting for your custom candles to finish, Forbici will be a perfect way to chow down and kill some time. Their menu consists of some amazing salads, house-made pastas, and modern Italian pizza.
Ulele features indigenous Florida-inspired dishes, a stunning view of the Riverwalk, and its own on-site brewery piped straight to the taps. It's a must-see, but you might want reservations if you're going on the weekend.
Right up the stairs from Curtis Hixon Park (inside the big cylindrical Sykes building) is a fine-dining establishment known for their steaks. But don't be fooled, they have a large selection of salads, burgers, and other delicious entrees that'll satisfy any hunger.
The Tampa Riverwalk runs for 2.6 miles (4 km) along the Hillsborough River and Garrison Channel, linking downtown’s favorite attractions like gems on a string. Riverwalk visitors can drink alcohol as they stroll, as long as they buy it from the eight approved vendors along the way and carry it in specially designated cups. At night, the Riverwalk’s canopies are lighted along with the bridges that cross the river.
