VISIT TAMPA BAY PARTNERS WITH HIDDEN SPRINGS ALE WORKS TO CREATE ITS LATEST CRAFT BEER

 

Escape to Our Shores with Captain’s Courage, the Newest Beer from Visit Tampa Bay


Tampa, FL (April 23, 2024) — Ahoy, mateys! Visit Tampa Bay’s newest beer is here and it’s ready to quench your sense of adventure. Created in partnership with craft brewery, Hidden Springs Ale Works, the destination marketing organization’s latest lager, Captain’s Courage, is bound to hit all the right notes with people (and aspiring pirates) near and far.

To create the beer, Visit Tampa Bay enlisted the expertise of Hidden Springs Ale Works to brilliantly balance the sweet citrus zest with orange blossom honey to strike the flavor sure to satisfy every treasure-seeker’s fancy. And while this is the first partnership with Hidden Springs, it is Visit Tampa Bay’s third partnership with a local craft brewery.

Captain's Courage

Craft brewing has a storied history in Tampa. Legendary cigar maker Vicente Ybor launched Florida’s first brewery in 1897 on the site of an ancient spring. Hidden Springs Ale Works, launched in 2015, carries on this longstanding tradition with over 20 beers of their own innovation.

The flavor profile of the Captain’s Courage quaff is citrus-forward, reflecting one of Tampa Bay’s favorite crops as well as the destination’s bright, sunny spirit. And Hidden Springs Ale Works is currently preparing a second flavor to be released within the year.

"We've been delighted to collaborate with Visit Tampa Bay on an award-winning American Wheat Beer like Captain's Courage,” said Josh Garman, co-owner, and head of production for Hidden Springs Ale Works. “With a carefully curated blend of wildflower honey and sweet orange peel, paired with our meticulous craftsmanship, this beer captures the essence of Tampa Bay. And we're proud to spread a little bit of Florida sunshine with every sip."

Visit Tampa Bay was strategic in selecting one of Hidden Springs Ale Works’s more popular standard beers for this initiative for a few reasons:  the ease of customizing it with their branding, and its availability across the country and nation.
