Raised on hip-hop and schooled in the classics, Black Violin makes music that brings the conservatory to the street and vice versa. Kev Marcus (Kevin Sylvester, violin) and Wil B. (Wilner Baptiste, viola), whose multi-genre sound has been described as “classical boom,” have built an enthusiastic fan base through frequent live appearances. Straz audiences have enjoyed the duo during several appearances and will be thrilled that the duo will be returning to perform once again.
