We’re not the only fans of Tampa Bay! Discover the success experienced by other meeting professionals and their attendees in Tampa.

Libby Ashcraft IBM CorporationThe conference we held in Tampa was our first experience using a convention center. We had always been in a large conference hotel but simply out grew those types of venues. The Tampa Team made the transition so smooth for us. They bent over backwards to accommodate our many requests to ensure we did not lose the intimate feel we were used to having when our entire program was under one roof. Our attendees had some concerns with the "city wide" convention aspect but once they were on site they were relieved to see how compact the foot print of the TCC was and how easy it was to navigate our conference. We were thrilled with our experience in Tampa and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to make that transition.

Our Imperial Council and Imperial Court Sessions are normally held in the same host city every 10 years. However, after holding our first session in Tampa, Florida August 2010, both organizations decided to return to Tampa on a rotation. Why? Tampa is a great location to hold a convention because of its diversity, multicultural population, and Tampa’s rich history. In 2010, we experienced the highest level of customer service and visibility from the Visit Tampa Bay Management Team and their Partners; who ensured that we receive a warm welcome to the Home of the Americas – Tampa, Florida! Our group enjoyed the convenience and choice of Tampa hotels, the nightlife, Ybor City, and the wide range of things to do in Tampa; especially the first-class accommodations and proximity to attractions; which created a remarkable event experience for our delegates and their families. Most importantly, the Tampa Convention Center is a world-class, sparkling waterfront vista for conventions. That’s why we want to return to Tampa on a rotation.

Tampa was a great venue for AVS physicists. The Convention Center is great for groups our size—not too big, and not too small. The meeting rooms are centrally located and flexible in capacity. During breaks you can enjoy the views from inside or outside without leaving the property which our exhibitors appreciate. The hotels nearby are just a short walk, they have ample meeting space, and great guest amenities. We enjoyed working with everyone from the CVB to the Center and Hotels to local restaurants. We will be back soon if we can find a set of dates.

A Tampa brings the "whole package"...and the city really does perform as one cohesive unit--plus, Tampa is a "destination", and a place to which attendees indicate they WANT to come

This CVB has it down. From Sales through onsite, we were in very capable hands. It was a flawless experience. Susan Williams was amazing. She helped identify locations for offsite events and offered terrific guidance on all things Tampa. Her regular check ins were very much appreciated!

This event (Southeast NATS ) has been in Tampa for 24 consecutive years and I have been the Special Events Director since 2004 and have had the pleasure to have worked with Marge Aldred, Dori Laack and Jane Han in that time and they have treated me with professionalism and as a friend. I look forward to working with the Tampa Bay & Co staff in the future. They were a part of the reason that NSRA signed a three contract with the Florida State Fairgrounds.

I want you both to know how much we loved having our convention in your city. Everyone we worked with at the Marriott and the convention center were professional, experienced and always available to us. You were so helpful to us as we prepared for the event and we really appreciated that.

I do look forward to our paths crossing again soon and to working with you on a future meeting in Tampa. I also want to thank you for the wonderful coffee table book on Tampa. It has been a happy reminder of your city.

I received very nice comments from many of our ICCFA members about the venue and service we received at the Marriott and the convention center. And, thank you so much for the beautiful beach towel. As you may know, my husband and I held a party the evening after the our annual convention banquet out by the convention center sail pavilion and the staff could not have been nicer to work with. We, personally, had a great experience the entire week and are now raving fans of yours!

When it comes to deciding on whether to involve a CVB or not, the decision in some cities is easy. Tampa is one of the cities that I rarely go direct to hotels because of excellent service I get from Jennifer Friday at Visit Tampa Bay. She is extremely reliable, understands my needs and always gets me in touch with the right hotels based on each individual program. It makes my job easier and gives me a great feeling about doing business in Tampa.
