Tampa, FL (May 13, 2021) – Visit Tampa Bay is excited to debut its Bay Crafted Pass, a new mobile passport program that incentivizes beer and cocktail-lovers while generating economic impact for local breweries and distilleries in Tampa Bay.

Visitors and locals can sign up for the free passport program, which includes 21 local breweries and distilleries showcasing the best of Tampa Bay in an easy, mobile-friendly way. Visitors can unlock prizes by checking in at participating partner locations throughout Hillsborough County.

“Tampa Bay is Florida’s beer capital boasting dozens of internationally renowned craft breweries and a bustling cocktail culture with roots stemming back to Prohibition,” says Santiago C. Corrada, president and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay. “Not only is this pass a fun incentive for the consumer, but it helps generate a much-needed economic boost for local businesses.”

The development of the user-friendly pass was in partnership with Bandwango, a travel technology platform specializing in designing destination experiences for visitors and locals.

Patrons can sign up on BayCrafted.com with their name, email and phone number. Users will then receive a text prompting them to save the pass on their home screen for easy access. When the user is ready to redeem their pass, they can visit one of the participating businesses and check in via geolocation on their phone. Check-ins with each of the breweries or distilleries give participants a chance to win fun prizes such as a Bay Crafted t-shirt or beer glass.
