“Capturing more than just memories,” is a phrase I have used since I began this journey. My work is a narrative of the various aspects of life. Making images of expressions, people, events, and the objects and places associated with them drives me to areas I hadn’t thought would be open to me. Just as life contains the new, the old, joy, sadness, routine and the extraordinary, there is distinct and familiar facets within each body of work I make. My goal is to avoid the limitation of any specific style or genre. My objective is always to create images that encompass detail as well as a comprehensive perspective of each collection. Whether it is a facial expression, an object, a space or a feature, it is all part of the narrative when telling a story through images. My work contains the specific, the ambiguous and never the obvious. My work is a diverse body of portraits, objects, performances, and fine art. It is an expression of life, joy, excitement, the familiar and the unknown. It is also an expression of pain, sorrow, peace and unique. My hope is to inspire and convey that the ordinary transcends the usual.
