Lisa back with an awesome opportunity to make a difference.
A class of students studying Public Relations at The University of South Florida, are holding a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Tampa is invited to "wake up for wishes with Pancake Palooza." This will take place on Thursday November 18, 2010. It will be held at the Gibbons Alumni Center on USF's Tampa Campus. The first flap jacks will be flipped at 8am and will continue flipping until 10:30am. Funds will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida, Suncoast region.
It will only cost you $5 to enjoy this all-you-can eat pancake breakfast! And for just $1 more, you will be entered into the raffle for a chance to win prizes from places like Pap John's, Mr. Dunderbak's Biergarten & Restaurant, Soho Sushi and much more!
The best part of this (besides helping amazing children live out their dreams), is that everyone is encouraged to come dressed in their pajama's! Five lucky pajama wearers will get free entry into the raffle and a chance to win double toppings. When topping include strawberries, whipped cream, or powdered sugar that's a really good thing!
Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Please contact Heather Carelli (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
"The Make-A-Wish foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 65 chapters in the U.S. and its territories. With the help of generous donors and nearly 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish foundation grants more than 12,600 wishes a year and has granted more than 180,000 wishes in the U.S. since inception."
So wake up Tampa! And let's grant some wishes, while enjoying some fun Tampa Bay Dining!
That's all for now but stay tuned for more Tampa Bay Area Events!
