Friday, December 6th
Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park Tree Lighting
On the must-do list for this weekend, don’t miss Tampa’s Annual Tree lighting in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Friday night. Afterwards be sure to stick around for a FREE special showing of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Bring a teddy bear to be donated to children in Tampa Bay local hospitals as part of the Rough Riders Annual Teddy Bear Drive. Tree lighting festivities start at 6 p.m. and the movie begins shortly after the tree is lit at 8 p.m.
Downtown on Ice, Curtis Hixon Park (Fri, Sat & Sun)
$10 per person is all it costs for a 90 minute skate (including skates) at Tampa’s Downtown on Ice. Photos of embarrassing wipe-outs are encouraged. Times vary, www.TampasDowntownOnIce.com
Christmas Town, Busch Gardens Tampa (Fri, Sat & Sun)
Tonight I will be tweeting live from Busch Gardens for Christmas Town. This year guests can enjoy top attractions like Santa’s House, Penguin Point and SnowWorld Presented by Coca-Cola. The park is also tripling the size of its snow play attraction for a total of 108,000 cubic feet of snow, enough to make 3,000 6-foot snowmen. 1,000,000 twinkling lights will illuminate Christmas Town. Talk about a holiday wonderland full of wintery surprises! Follow us on twitter and on Instagram for exclusive pics @VisitTampaBay.
