Tampa Bay & CompanyLinda Mummert here reporting that several of our Convention Sales Managers and Partners will be heading out to Chicago to attend this Annual Tradeshow.  It will take place on
Dec. 15, Director of Convention Sales Alex Kaptzan, National Sales Manager Amy Trautman, and Regional Account Executive Jeff Gassaway will attend the Association Forum of Chicagoland’s Holiday Showcase, in an effort to promote Tampa Bay as a premier meetings destination.  

With tailored educational programs and exclusive networking opportunities, Holiday Showcase is considered one of the Midwest’s No. 1 meeting sites and business services exhibition.  In addition to 12 educational sessions, attendees can attend “solution session tracks” on digital publishing, e-learning and event technology, as well as meet with more than 700 exhibitors and network with over 2,300 association industry professionals.  

Founded in 1916, the Association Forum of Chicagoland has approximately 3,000 members who represent more than 47,000 association professionals from nearly 2,000 Chicago organizations, which serve 37 million members, have 9 million donors and generate $22 billion annually in global economic impact.

While in Chicago, Kaptzan will participate in the Destination Management Association International’s “Convention Sales Shirtsleeves” event, which is held in conjunction with Holiday Showcase.  The annual event brings convention sales professionals together to uncover innovative solutions to common sales challenges.  

The focus of the Convention Sales team of Tampa Bay & Company is to bring conventions and meetings to Tampa Bay to create positive economic impact for Hillsborough County.
