The Tampa Bay & Company Leisure Sales team, along with community partners, is once again working with Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL) to showcase the Tampa Bay area to top-producing travel agents from across the United States.
The Familiarization Tour (FAM), which took place Aug. 27, consisted of a presentation and a dinner at the Columbia Restaurant where team Tampa Bay promoted all that the destination has to offer pre- and post-cruise enthusiasts. Additionally, the 28 attendees experienced Tampa Bay treasures, including The Florida Aquarium and Channelside Bay Plaza (Splitsville, Stumps Supper Club, and Tinatapas).
With two CCL ships sailing year-round from the Port of Tampa, attendees also toured both the Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Legend, as well as experienced the embarkation and boarding processes, explored the terminal, and viewed cabins and public areas.
To ensure the most targeted approach, CCL qualifies each agent who is invited to attend the FAM. Each agent must have business on the books with Tampa, booked business with the destination in the past, or have potential clients that have expressed interest in cruising from the Port of Tampa.
