Another weekend in sunny, beautiful Tampa Bay and there is yet another long list of things you can do. A little bit of something for everyone, if you will with current Tampa Bay area events.
All weekend long, the National Street Rod Association is in town with the Southeast Nationals. Here, you’ll find pre-1949 street rods, model car displays and vintage automobile swap meets. The NSRA even made the event fun for everyone in the family with a Women’s World area and an arts-and-crafts section for the kids.
Saturday, come on out for the 6th Annual Streetcar Fest. All day long, rides on the TECO Streetcar’s are just 5 cents! In celebration, kids 10 and under will receive free lunch certificates from participating Centro Ybor restaurants and free kids’ activities will be going on just outside of the Florida Aquarium. Don’t leave too early though, from 7 to 10 p.m. you’ll find live music at the Courtyard Channelside Bay Plaza.
For a little bit of arts and culture in Tampa Bay, Saturday is Ybor City’s Festival Del Sabor. The streets of Ybor City come to life during this Hispanic heritage festival. There will be live entertainment as well as food. There will also be a cook-off with cash prizes, so make sure to check it out and cheer on the chefs!
Don’t forget that Lowry Park’s Zoo Boo has officially begun. Zoo Boo will run Thursday – Sunday during the month of October. They’ve set up a ton of Halloween themed attractions like the Little Tykes Boo House and the 10 and up Sinister Shadows maze. The zoo is also featuring Midway Madness and a Bubblegum Boneyard Carriage Ride.
Where to begin?! Have fun this weekend and let me know how things went on Monday. Also, keep coming back to check out our Calendar of Events for a complete listing of things to do in the Tampa Bay area.
