In preparation for a shoot taking place in June, Lindsey and I have been scouting warehouse spaces all over town. "Scouting", I've learned, basically involves going to different locations and taking pictures of them, not only for the client, but for our own records which we use to help future, potential productions in the Bay Area.
It is very interesting not only to get out of the office and meet with site managers, but to explore. Just today Lindsey and I perused part of west Tampa and Hyde Park, as we had a bit of scheduling difficulty with one of our meetings, and we found things that I (as a Tampa native) never knew were there. In only my second week here, I've discovered that any place can become a potential set, from hotels to private neighborhoods to empty (and even dirty) buildings and so much more. The possibilities are essentially limitless.
Now, I'll be out of town for about a week, but Lindsey will keep you all posted on the goings-on here at the Commission. Until next time, have a great Memorial Day Weekend!
