Hello all Jerm here to give you some Tampa Bay area events news and updates! In addition to the fabulous restaurants, lounges, rock ‘n roll memorabilia, and 178,000 square feet of gaming options including blackjack, baccarat, and slots … The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be the place to party for New Year’s!

On Wednesday, Dec. 30, Rick Springfield and his band (Jessie’s Girl) will kick off the New Year’s holiday in a sold out concert. This one was so popular, the Casino actually had to release a few more tickets to try and accommodate everyone!

Beginning at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31, free New Year’s Eve noisemakers and party hats will be handed out to guests on a first come, first serve basis at stations throughout the casino floor. And that’s not all! If you prefer to stay close to your favorite slot machine, poker table or blackjack dealer, there’ll be a midnight balloon drop at the Center Bar and the festivities at Times Square will be aired on all casino televisions.

Then celebrate Countdown to 2010 in another time zone at 3 a.m. with an exclusive West Coast Toast in Floyd’s nightclub. That’s right! Watch the ball drop in Los Angeles on three large video screens and party the rest of New Year’s away until 7 a.m.! Floyd’s is Tampa Bay’s only late night nightclub.

West Coast Toast VIP table packages are still available on a first come, first serve basis. Call to reserve at (813) 627-7676. General admission is $50.  Get there early. Doors open at 2 a.m. Dress to impress. 21 and over only, please.

Countdown to 2010 at Floyd’s will feature a mash-up music mix of your favorite rock, top 40, and hip-hop hits from the 80s through now by internationally recognized disc jockeys. From New York, it’ll be MTV celebrity DJ Slynkee, with a little help from popular resident DJs Santana and Chris Craze. From San Diego, top female DJ Miss Lisa will bring her sexy act to the exclusive 3 a.m. do it “All Over Again” countdown, accompanied by 93.3 FLZ’s Ratboy & Stay Puff.

Stay tuned for more New Year's related things to do in Tampa Bay!
