Hi everyone...Travis back with info on some great Tampa Bay entertainment options.  The Tampa Bay History Center has partnered with the University of South Florida's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to offer "Tampa History Highlights", a six-week program on Tampa history led by retired Tampa Tribune columnist, Leland Hawes.

Hawes has assembled an impressive line-up of local historians and guest lecturers including USF's Gary Mormino, retired judge

Each session will touch on a different topic, including Tampa's involvement during World War II, gambling and organized crime, the creation of Davis Islands, growing up in West Tampa and Ybor City, and the establishment of the University of South Florida.

The six-week course is held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm beginning January 27th through March 3rd at the Tampa

Bay History Center. The fee for the course is $60. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. Register on line
