Linda Mummert here with some exciting news for the Port of Tampa.  Royal Caribbean International plans to add another cruise ship Vision of the Seas beginning in fall 2014.

This 915-foot ship will join their sister ship Brilliance of the Seas, which operates at the port during winter cruise seasons, for a total of two RCI ships to home port in Tampa.

Vision of the Seas will offer seven-day cruises to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands; Cozumel, Mexico; Costa Maya, Mexico and other Western Caribbean destinations.  It holds about 2,000 passengers and a crew of 783.

Tampa has been home port to this  Miami-based cruise line’s ships since January 2002.
