Hello Tampa Bay, Alex here to let you know how you can join Ybor City in welcoming the Michigan State Spartans and Georgia Bulldogs as they arrive for the 26th Annual Outback Bowl.

Ybor City will be hosting the 26th Anniversary Outback Bowl Parade and PepOutback Bowl Rally this Saturday, December 31, 2011 (New Year's Eve) from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

The parade begins at 20th Street and 7th Avenue proceeds west on 7th Avenue to 14th Street. The event showcases several high school bands and the two Outback Bowl college bands.

Following the parade, a pep rally takes place in the parking lot at 14th Street and 7th Avenue.  The event ends at 8:30p.m. (Pedestrian barricades will be removed and 7th Avenue will be reopened at 9:00p.m unless crowds dictate otherwise.)

NOTE: This event is sponsored by the Outback Bowl and the City of Tampa.  Vending is not permitted during the event.  This event is not wet-zoned, therefore open containers of alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited on public sidewalks and streets. NO Glass containers will be allowed on balconies or public rights of way.  Balconies will be regulated for occupancy and crowd control.
