Hello gang, Jerm here with an interactive travel update. This update will be different from most other updates as I am typing it from 30,000 feet in the air, as I am on my way to Tucson, Arizona for a conference put on by our technology partners Simpleview Inc. Currently we are on our way to Vegas, as that is where my layover will be. Next time I must remember to book my flights with no connectors as it seems as if I have been on this plane for about 8 hours now, and we just took off maybe a half hour ago.
The conference in Tucson, as I said earlier is put on by our friends and technology partners Simpleview. Now if you don't know who they are, let me give you a quick synopsis. They are the guys that pretty much power our entire website from a hosting perspective, as well as design SEO (search engine optimization), and a few other areas. So pretty much anything that you see new on our site or anything that I talk about with regards to new features that I want to get the word out about, then the developers and computer nerds at Simpleview had a big hand in it.
They put together an annual user conference each year to talk about the new trends in the travel industry, as well as giving you the lowdown on top secret updates within the organization with regards to the software they allow us to license in order to power the website. So while at the conference and in between sessions, I will be forced to take residence in the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa...yeah I know right...poor Jerm. Normally their are about three of us that come to this conference each year, but this go round I am the only member of our Tampa Bay team, so I will be sure to hold the fort down and soak up plenty of information.
It should be a good conference and I am looking forward to getting there and hearing what the new buzz is in our industry and ways we can help bring you more cool and interactive updates. As a matter of fact, I can pretty much guarantee you that I will launch at least one new feature while I am out here, so I suggest you pay attention to my updates!
Anyhow, thats all for now as I hope to be able to post this when I get to Vegas, and am able to steal some WiFi access from somewhere in the airport. As always, stay tuned for more updates and things to do in Tampa Bay.
p.s., I'll be blogging each day from Tucson talking about whats going on and how my day went... just because I am out of town doesn't mean you can get rid of me that easily!
