I’m really jealous of the travel writers I work with. I mean, what a cool job they have. They get to go to places all over the world and stay in the best hotels, eat the nicest food and enjoy the coolest Tampa Florida attractions. Always looking for something quirky, new and cool, they will often get to experience the very latest and greatest that a city has to offer.

For instance I just worked with a travel writer out of Wyoming. He stayed at the beautiful InterContinental Hotel Tampa and the boutique Don Vicente De Ybor Historic Inn while he visited the Manatee Hospital at Lowry Park Zoo, Big Cat Rescue, the IMAX dome at MOSI and a dinner cruise on the Yacht StarShip just to name a few! Talk about your things to do in Tampa Bay huh!

In return, he’ll write up a fantastic article about our destination and talk about how much fun he had, how great the Tampa Bay area is and how dynamic Hillsborough County can be. All and all, a pretty neat gig and a great opportunity for us as well.

I’m already putting together the next itinerary for another travel writer who will be coming into market next week. On the agenda is fun, sun, and excitement as it’s a “Mancation” story for a magazine he writes for. Once again I’m jealous! But then I think to myself…wait a minute! I get to visit all of these places with them. Not a bad gig for me either since I get to live the life that many of these writers just get to visit. So maybe I shouldn’t be as jealous of them as I am. Maybe somewhere out there, someone is jealous of me.
