Hello there gang, Jerm here. As I was going through my nightly routine of playing with my IPhone before I got to bed, I came a cross a story that was very interesting to me that I wanted to share.
A few months back I wrote a post with an interview of some sorts with our Director of IT, Keith Bukovan. One my the many rivoting questions I asked Keith had to do with what we and others can do as businesses to reduce power consumption. If you need a refresher on the interview, please click here to jog your memory.
The article I read last night had to do with companies in America spending on average about $2.8 billion a year extra to power their PC's that were left on over night. That is a lot of coin people, and we should all read this article and make a mental note of it when we leave the office at night. I always knew that Keith was a borderline IT genius, but he sort of predicted this in our interview a while back. Glad he is on our side as we make the efforts to be more of a green organization!
Check out the article and let me know what you think.
In the meantime, check back for more updates and stay tuned for things to do in Tampa Bay.
