Happy Friday Tampa Bay!  Jessica here with a Tampa Bay area events update... We all know that Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo does some wonderful things for our community, regardless of species (both human and animal) so this event charity is right on par.  Saturday, April 10 marks the date of this year's Karamu XXII presented by Regions Bank and AT&T.

This event, taking place at 6:30 pm, is your chance to join the area's top business and community leaders at the Zoo's signature black tie gala.  Hosted by Trustees of the Lowry Park Zoological Society, this year's Karamu will celebrate the natural beauty of the South Pacific within the spectacular setting of the Zoo's Safari Lodge events facility and adjoining outdoor plaza.
Karamu is known for its lavish theme, extensive decorations, outstanding cuisine and huge silent auctions as the Zoo comes alive at night.  Karamu, from the Swahili word "party", has raised more than $2.5 million for animal care and educational programs at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo over the last 21 years.  Enjoy cocktails, up-close animal encounters, a seated dinner, silent and live auctions, live entertainment and of course dancing.  To inquire about sponsorship, email Karamu@LowryParkZoo.com or call 813.935.8552 x235.

Stay tuned for more great Tampa Bay area events happening soon and Tampa tourism updates from other great Tampa Florida attractions!!
