Fireworks Shows: Here’s your guide to some of the best spots to hang out and watch Tampa’s skies light up on July 4th!
4th of July Fireworks Celebration, Channelside

Tampa’s largest and most talked about fireworks show is in downtown Tampa in the Channelside district this Friday.  Enjoy live bands on the Tampa Bay Lightning Stage, twelve food trucks (starting at 5 p.m.) and a fireworks show kicking off at 9 p.m.  The celebration doesn’t end after the fireworks though; Channelside will be rocking until 11 p.m. with live music by the Soul Circus Cowboys. 4th of July Fireworks, Florida Aquarium
See dazzling displays in the sky and sea this July 4th at The Florida Aquarium! There will be fun, family-friendly entertainment and all-American themed dinner options. Bring the entire family to soak up the fun at Explore A Shore and have a blast! Fireworks will take place at 9 p.m. and hours will extend until 9:30 p.m. July 4th festivities are included with Florida Aquarium general admission ticket. Hogan’s 4th of July Party, Hogan’s Beach
Calling all the Hulk Hogan fans! Friday, the Hulkster himself is scheduled to host the July 4th celebration along with pro wrestling legend Jimmy Hart, “Mouth of the South”.  Before the fireworks go off, guests can enjoy the live music scene and a giant BBQ buffet for only $30 (BBQ Buffet 2 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.). Independence Day Celebration, History Museum

The History Center is celebrating Independence Day by offering FREE admission and extended hours on July 4th.  Re-enactors will share their hands-on displays of the Civil-War, Seminole War, Spanish American War and WWII-era.  With the hours extended to 9 p.m., guests are encouraged to stay late and watch the fireworks show in Channelside.

Red, White & Zoo Holiday Weekend
In honor of Independence Day, military personnel (active-duty, retirees and veterans) and up to three direct dependents are invited to visit the Zoo for FREE on July 4-6, 2014. Valid Department photo ID necessary. For more information visit:

Colombian Navy Ship Tours, Tampa Convention Center
Tour the 1966 three-masted barque acquired by the Colombian government as a training ship for the Colombian navy.  The ship tours are FREE to the public and run 9 a.m. though 4 p.m. For more information call 813-274-8511.

Boots on the Beach, Hogan’s Beach (Saturday, July 5th)
Tampa’s first ever country music sunset party! Forget about the usual music you are used to hearing at Hogan’s Beach, this weekend they are mixing things up a bit and welcoming South Carolina singers with a little country twist.  Country music duo Love and Theft, Trailer Choir, Soul Circus Cowboys and Mixin Dixie will take the stage for shows from 7 p.m. until Midnight! We ever hear that Hulk Hogan will be making an appearance as well, so be there brother!

Splash Sundays, Epicurean Hotel (Sunday, July 6th)
