Hey everyone...we're back and ready to keep you updated with anything and everything happening for day 9 of the Florida Strawberry Festival.  So, without any delay, let's get to it...

It's Day Nine, leading into the final weekend of the 2009 Florida Strawberry Festival®.  It's The Tampa Tribune Day on the Midway and Moonlight Magic Night at the Florida Strawberry Festival. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. guests save $2 off the regular price of $20 on a Fun Pack Ride Coupon Book.  And then tonight, from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., patrons entering the Midway are required to buy a wristband for $20, which entitles them to ride most mechanical rides unlimited times.

Demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the day, featuring pioneer skills in early arts and trades.  Woodwork and rope making demos give guests an opportunity to see how our ancestors used their simple tools and traditional skills back at the turn of the century.

Granpa Cratchet has several shows today on his stage on the east end of the Festival office.  His show teaches important life lessons in a fun and exciting way.

Close to 6 p.m. is a good time to visit the youth livestock exhibitors in the CF Industries Ag Tent. The Showmanship Judging Competition for the Beef Breed starts at 6, and will feature exhibitors ages 3 and up.

Tonight, thanks to the Florida Opry®, the stars will be shining brightly inside and outside the Sweetbay Supermarket Showcase Tent. The show is 7:30 to 10:00 p.m., and Stephanie Ann, Tina Dallman, Spirit Song and Southern Exposure Band will be performing.

In concert on the GTE Federal Credit Union Soundstage at 3:30 p.m. today is country crooner Ronnie McDowell, who has charted more than 30 Top-40 hits on the Billboard country music charts. Then at 7:30 p.m., he's the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, best selling author of more than 22 books, the host of FOX Television's hit TV show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? Jeff Foxworthy! Tickets for Ronnie McDowell are on sale for $10 and $15 each, and Jeff Foxworthy tickets are $35 at the stadium ticket office or the Main Ticket Office at Gate 1. There are also free (with paid gate admission) seats available on a first come, first seated basis in the Edy’s® & Häagen-Dazs® grandstands.
