Hey there Tampa, It's your favorite blogger Lisa back with an update about the Patel Conservatory!
The Patel Conservatory is offering FREE adult tap class. The class will take place January 7th at noon, and will be taught by Susan Downey. This gives students a chance to see if Tap is their true calling, without having to pay a fee! No prior experience is necessary at all (probably my Tap lessons at age 4 don't really count now...), so if you have been dying to Tap away the day this is your chance. Just call 813-222-1002.
Susan Downey comes to Tampa with an extensive ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater background. She spent 20 years in the New York area, where she began her teaching career.
The other exciting update for Arts and Culture in Tampa Bay is FREE ballet class. On Thursday January 6th, and Monday January 10th, the Patel Conservatory will be offering advanced and intermediate ballet classes.
On Thursday the 6th, advanced ballet will be offered for youth in grades six through 12. To participate, students must have at least three years experience on pointe.
Then on Monday the 10th, Intermediate ballet will be offered for youth grades six through 12. And in order to participate students must have a minimum of four years of consistent ballet training.
Patel Conservatory Dance Chair Peter Stark will teach both classes. Stark also has an extensive background and has worked in New York, Boston, Washington and many others.
If you find that the Patel Conservatory is the right fit for you, during the free classes participants are welcome to audition for placement in the Patel Conservatory Youth Ballet. Please register for these classes so they can plan accordingly!
That's all for now Tampa, but stay tuned for more Tampa Bay Area Updates, and Things To Do In Tampa Bay!
