Here at Tampa Bay & Company, we always say that we bring you the best Tampa Bay area events out there. Well, this is one that is not only worth the cost of admission, but is one that you’ll never forget. Take a look at what just came through my desk, and what will be coming through Hyde Park Village this week – Princess Diana’s Dresses are coming to Tampa!
A magnificent exhibit that has traveled the world now calls Hyde Park Village its new home from January 18 to April 1, 2009. The original museum quality exhibition experience presents over a dozen outfits which have never before toured the United States, including many of the highly visible day suits from the late Diana’s working wardrobe, which she wore during the last year of her life. Dresses for Humanity II at Hyde Park Village presents 17 fashion ensembles including the famed “Pink India Gown”, created for the late Diana’s 1992 Royal India tour.
To celebrate this occasion with the Tampa Museum of Art, the exhibit’s operating hours for the public are Monday through Friday 11am-5pm, Saturdays and Sundays, 11am-7pm. Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm are available for private receptions.
