Hey, Lisa here with an update on some Arts and Culture in Tampa Bay.
The New Dali Museum in St. Pete is offering a FREE event tomorrow evening. Dr. William Jeffett & Colleagues will be at the Museum talking about his new book that touches on themes related to new interpretations of an artist's work.
Dr. William Jeffett's new book is a book of critical essays, Dali Doubled. After a brief overview of the key themes, Jeffett (who is also the Chief Curator of Exhibitions) will be joined by Matthew McLendon (Ph.D. Associate Curator, Ringling Museum of Art), Jennifer Hardin (Ph.D. and Chief Curator, MFA St. Petersburg), and Noel Smith (Curator CAM/ Graphic Studio). They will have a roundtable panel discussion. The dialogue will touch on themes related to new interpretations of an artist's work in the light of curatorial practice and the important legacy of avant-garde artists like Dali.
If you like art and Dali, then this is the event for you! Again it is TOMORROW night from 6:30-8:00pm at the New Dali Museum in St. Pete. It is FREE and there will be light refreshments.
