So...this past Saturday, the USF Bulls headed over to Orlando to face the UCF Knights in what is probably considered the biggest non-conference rivalry for both teams. I am a USF graduate (if you haven’t figured that out yet) so it's obvious which team I was rooting for. Considering I was in Miami for a bachelorette party, I was unable to actually watch the game, but I did have a friend texting me updates every five minutes.
Those Knight's actually gave us quite a scare! Last year’s score was 64-12 Bulls, so I really wasn't even worried about it! When I found out we went into overtime that really put me on the edge of my seat, but finally, my Bulls pulled through 31-24…thank God. A win is a win, right? Doesn’t really matter how you get there.
Moving on to the next one…USF will welcome the Kansas Jayhawks to Raymond James Stadium this Friday at 8 p.m. This too is a non-conference game, but it’s still a big one! With hopes for another W, I hope you all come out and support your USF Bulls! If you’re unavailable, you can catch the game on ESPN 2. Jayhawks fans be sure to click here to book a hotel. I’ll be back next week with Friday’s game highlights and updates for our next home game: Pittsburgh – our first conference game of the year!
