Greetings Tampanians, Jessica here with yet another arts and culture in Tampa Bay update!! Some of you may or may not know about Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA), but they are a great organization with some exciting events!! -- the TBBCA is a non-profit that serves as a liaison between businesses, arts, and cultural institutions with a mission to help build a stronger arts and cultural community right here in Tampa.
Well, with a successful year under their belt, the TBBCA decided to come back with another Chalk Walk Festival for 2010. This Tampa Bay area events got a family-friendly atmosphere, hundreds of participants, thousands of viewers, and raises tons of money to support area artists and organizations. This year's event, scheduled for May 7-9 in Hyde Park Village will showcase unlimited local artists as they display their chalk art, where else, but on the street!
Chalk Walk 2010 plans to double the artists and attendees from last year to crowds of over 5,000 people throughout the three day festival. With live music, drink and food specials, art for sale, and performances from the latest crop of High School Arts Starts Scholarship recipients, this year is sure to be impressive! So, hurry and mark your calendars NOW!
