International Tiger Day is Monday, July 29, and Busch Gardens Tampa is celebrating all weekend long! From July 27-29, there will be face painting, tiger keeper talks, and feedings in the Jungala area of the park.

International Tiger Day, also known as Global Tiger Day, is an annual celebration to raise awareness for tiger conservation (there are only 3,200 wild tigers in the world).

A portion of the proceeds from the tiger and cub plush toys sold in the Tiger Lodge gift shop during the celebration will be donated to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. In addition, the animal care team will demonstrate how they work with tigers from feedings, to enrichment and playtime.

Three of Busch Gardens’ newest additions are also scheduled to make an appearance. Endangered Malayan tiger cubs Cinta (meaning “love”), Bundar (meaning “round”) and Rukayah (meaning “delicate”) will be on the Jungala habitat all weekend.

Hope to see you there!
