Busch Gardens Tampa debuts its first Food and Wine festival this spring, starting March 7 and running through May.
Food and wine stands will operate from noon to 9 p.m.
The festival is included in the price of admission to the park, but you’ll have to buy your tastings individually. Luckily, there’s an app for that.
The food and wine tastings will be spread throughout the park. You’ll be able to nosh your way from gourmet versions of old stand-bys like macaroni & cheese to more exotic tastes. Passionfruit flan, anyone?
You’ll also find venison (that’s deer, by the way) chili, salmon cakes, hangar steaks and a whole net worth of seafood.
There'll be vegetarian options and others (like the venison chili) that are gluten free.
At the festivals tasting tents, you'll have your pick of 50 types of wine for sampling and 50 craft brews to quench your thirst.
This being Tampa Bay, Florida's hopping craft brew hub, many of those beer samples will be from our very own brewers. Cigar City, Florida Avenue, Coppertail and Tampa Bay Brewing Co. will all have slots on the tasting menu.
Pay ala carte or buy a sampler pass. Save your All Day Dining pass for another day.
And what’s a festival without music?
Busch Gardens has big names each weekend on its festival roster.
Kenny Rogers and Kool & the Gang are just two of the free shows included with the party.
All shows start at 6 p.m.
