Hey everyone!  Travis here with an opportunity for you to provide some Tampa Bay entertainment to some youngsters!

Last week, we told you about a program that the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department was doing where Santa calls children for Christmas...here's the post - http://blog.visittampabay.com/blog/tampa-bay-pr-blog/0/0/santa-is-callingor-he-could-be-.
Well, now the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteer Santas to place calls to children from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8 (tomorrow), Wednesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 10.

The Parks and Recreation Department has been offering free phone calls from Santa to children for three years. Last year 1330 children received calls from Santa Claus.

No pervious Santa experience is required -- just lots of good cheer. Volunteers will receive a brief training, dinner, Santa hat, jingle bells and a plenty of holiday cookies.

If you are interested in volunteering, just contact head elf Cathie Schanz at (813) 274-7731 or email Cathie.Schanz@tampagov.net.  Thanks so much everyone!

Keep checking back for more Tampa Bay entertainment updates, great things to do in Tampa Bay, and Tampa Bay area events for the holidays.
