JASON ALDEAN CONCERT (7:30 p.m. Friday)

Get ready to turn up the heat this Friday with country music powerhouse Jason Aldean for his Burn It Down tour.  This platinum-selling artist will be performing at the MidFlorida Credit Union Ampitheatre along with newcomer Tyler Farr and breakout star Cole Swindell.


If you’re not a Country fan there’s also a classical option available as well.  Violinist Lara St. John will be conducting the Florida Orchestra as “leader” in a rendition of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Bach’s Violin Concerto No. 2 and Piazzolla’s tango-infused The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.  Come a little early to hear inside stories about the music and the composers.


TAMPA PIG JIG (12 p.m. – 11 p.m. Saturday)

Bring your appetite to the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Saturday for the 5th Annual Tampa Pig Jig.  This fundraiser features live music, a BBQ competition, drinks and games.  All proceeds support NephCure Kidney International, the only non-profit organization committed to supporting research, improving treatment and finding a cure for the debilitating kidney disease, FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome.

A NIGHTMARE ON FRANKLIN STREET (11:30 a.m. – 12 a.m. Saturday)

Prepare yourself for a scare at the Tampa Theatre during A Nightmare on Franklin Street.  The event starts off with a family-friendly ghost tour followed by a showing of three films that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat – Devil’s Rejects, Pet Sematary, and The Shining. 

CYCLOVIA (9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday)

Enjoy a day full of walking, biking, running, skating, etc. this Sunday at Cyclovia in Downtown.  This celebration of physical activity will shut down Kennedy Blvd. to vehicles for the day.  There will be plenty of room to stroll or roll, games, food trucks and much more.
