The Tampa Bay Margarita Festival kicks off this Saturday in downtown Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for another year of amazing live music, margaritas and tequila, tequila, tequila!
Woah there turbo… before you mention last year, the team has made a ton of improvements from last year’s event.  There will be over 5 times the amount of bars/bartenders (around 80 bartenders) compared to last year’s 18 (thank goodness). New and improved margarita recipes (over 35 margarita flavors) with each tequila brand’s drink expert fully involved in the cocktail creations.  There will also be more shade and seating options, an improved check-in process and much more.  One of my personal favorites… a frozen margarita truck ready to serve you those ice-cold, frozen margaritas for your tasting pleasure.
Headlining this year’s festival is the Los Lonely Boys; three brothers that emerged as a group in Nashville back in the 1990s and have the hit single “Heaven”

Other musical acts include: Thomas Wynn & The Believers, Amber Lynn Nicol, Southern Train, KEKO & Mo Gravy and the Kirk McEwen Band.
More margaritas, more entertainment, more improvements, this year’s margarita festival promises to not only be epic, but also includes a fireworks show guaranteed to knock the salt off the rim of your margarita!
General Admission gives you access to the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival grounds, but know that the margaritas are on you ($4-$8 a drink).
GA Advance: $15 (‘til 5/24)
GA Door: $20 (if available)
Gates open at 1:00 p.m. and the event ends after the fireworks show that starts at 9:45 p.m.
Now for the really exciting stuff!
