From FREE donuts to hockey stars, to fireworks and even people running around Ybor dressed at chickens, there are many adventures to claim this weekend in Tampa Bay.  We’ve put together a few of our top pick events to keep your weekend calendar filled with fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Claim your FREE donut: In honor of National Donut Day, don’t forget to stop by your local Krispy Kreme or Dunkin’ Donut location and pick up a FREE donut.  Maybe you donut care, but we do (see what we did there?)! Friday, June 6 (until supplies run out).

LeAnn Rimes at Hard Rock Café (Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino):  This little lady has been making music for eighteen years.  She’s got a twangy sass and a whole lot of soul, putting all her emotions through her music.  I have to admit, the Hard Rock Café is one of my favorite concert venues in Tampa.  Small enough making it a more intimate music experience, there’s no bad spot in the house.  Friday, June 6 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $55.  For more info visit:

Show and Tell: The 10th Anniversary of the Tampa Bay Lightning Stanley Cup Win, Tampa Bay History Museum.  This special program will feature a display of seven Lightning trophies from the 2004 Stanley Cup-winning season.  Tampa’s very own favorite hockey celebrity, Dave Andreychuk will also be speaking about that memorable Game 7 win! Saturday, June 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program is included admission to the museum.  For more info visit:

FIREWORKS in Channelside: BOOM diggity no doubt, thanks to the Tampa Attractions Association, Saturday nights through the end of August, fireworks will light up the sky and Channelside will be rocking with festival fun starting at 6 p.m. and ending with a fireworks finale at 9 p.m.  Saturday, June 7, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. FREE for all! For more info visit:

Ssssssnakes at Repticon, Florida State Fairgrounds:  Well, this is one place I plan to sssstay clear of this weekend, but for those of you who love all things slithery this is right up your alley.  Vendors will be on site with reptile pets, amphibians, exotic breeds, seminars and children’s activities.  Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $10 ($5 ages 5-12), 4 and younger free.  For more info visit:

Urban Chicken Race, Ybor City: This family-friendly (go ahead and bring your little nuggets) scavenger hunt kicks off at Tampa Bay Brewing Company Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Teams (up to eight) will compete to solve 12 clues and race to find various locations around town.  There is also a prize for “best chicken costume” judged by Ybor’s very own resident chickens and roosters.  Okay, so not really… all I’m saying is don’t be alarmed if you see people running around Ybor dressed at chickens. Saturday, June 7. Cost is $75 (includes t-shirt, swag, after-party and prizes). For more info visit:
