Hey everyone!  Travis back with more Tampa Bay area events for the entire family!  Bok Tower Gardens’ Music at Pinewood concert series concludes this Sunday, March 14 at 4:30pm with pianist Vladimir Svoysky performing “Romance of Spain.”

And it's not just this phenomenal music...a reception with refreshments to meet the artist will follow the concert.

Here's some info about the show:
From the infamous opera Carmen by Bizet to the fiery music of Albéniz and De Falla, Svoysky captures the romance and mystery of Spain. The story of the gypsy Carmen is a tale of love, jealousy and revenge that Svoysky brings to life through readings and musical excerpts.

Born in Leningrad, Svoysky earned degrees in piano, organ and conducting from the Leningrad and Gorky conservatories. After touring with the Gorky Philharmonic, he created the Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra. In 1979, he emigrated to the United States where he earned master’s degrees in piano and conducting from the Peabody Conservatory. Svoysky has toured as a pianist, harpsichordist and conductor, and has created and played in several different chamber ensembles.

and, other special concerts this month include a St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17 with carillon concerts at 1 and 3pm, and the Moonlight Concert on Monday, March 29 at 7:30pm performed by carillonneur William De Turk under the light of the full moon.
