Hey everyone...we're back with more updates about the Florida Strawberry Festival.  As always, we want to bring you the best things to do in Tampa Bay, so straight from the folks at the Festival, and without anymore delay, here we go with today's activities -

It's Family Day on Day Four of the 2009 Florida Strawberry Festival, just right for getting out and enjoying a day of fun-filled festivities with the family.

Gates open at 10 a.m., and so does the Midway.  Throughout the day, guests can see the rabbit and poultry shows in the CF Industries Ag Tent.  Another perennial favorite takes place at 12:30 p.m. – the Dairy Costume Ball. The costume ball is too much fun when youth livestock exhibitors and animals dress up like it’s Halloween. And at 2 p.m., it's a chance to buy a plant and help a child at the Youth Ornamental Plant Sale in the CF Industries Ag Tent, benefiting 4-H and FFA.

Another highlight of the festival each year takes place this evening starting at 5 p.m. in the Sweetbay Supermarket Showcase Tent, the Decorated Diaper Contest, Baby Features Contest and Diaper Derby.  Guests can see these precious babies toddle their way around in daintily decorated diapers. They will be competing in a baby features contest in the categories of prettiest girl, most handsome, chubbiest cheeks, biggest eyes, most hair, baldest head and look-a-like twins. And in the Diaper Derby, the fastest will feature crawling babies between the ages of six and 12 months.

Have you seen the log rolling dog?  One of the hottest new entertainment features at this year's Festival is the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, with a log rolling dog and world champion lumberjacks chopping, sawing, and deftly handling axes and Husqvarna chainsaws in shows that are not only historical and educational, they're humorous and filled with audience participation.

Tickets are still available for the 3:30 p.m. Rodney Adkins country concert on the GTE Federal Credit Union Soundstage.  And at 7:30 p.m. one of country-pop's brightest, Taylor Swift will perform her one SOLD OUT show.  Tickets are available for Rodney Atkins for $15 and $20 at the stadium ticket office.

Keep checking back this week as we bring you of the best Festival activities, as well as the best Tampa Bay area events.  So, if you are looking for some Tampa Bay entertainment, head out to plant city and keep checking in.
