Alright folks, I am back with my top 10 things to do this weekend in Tampa Bay! Lots of beer, lots of Halloween fun and plenty of festivals to keep you busy all weekend long! Remember, if you are out an about be sure to shoot me a tweet @VisitTampaBay with any photos or any questions you may have.

  1. Rock the Yacht
    Calling all the party animals (21+ only) that are ready to kick off the weekend with a live music party cruise tonight (Friday). Enjoy an R&B Dance Party featuring the Bus Stop Band and multiple decks of entertainment.  Your first beer is FREE, every guest will receive a Sweetwater 420 when boarding the yacht. Cost is only $25 per person (plus tax & port fee) and remember parking is still FREE in the Channelside lot where the Yacht Starship is located. The ship boards at 7 p.m., departs at 8 p.m. and returns at 11 p.m.  Please don’t drink and drive home. Plan ahead and designate a driver and plenty of cabs will be available in Channelside.   2. Southeast Street Rod Nationals
    The National Street Rod Association is back with over 1600 pre-1984 vehicles from all over the Southeastern United States at the Florida State Fairgrounds.  Tampa Bay’s largest, most spectacular automotive event enjoy street rods, cool customs, pick-ups, restored muscle cards, pro-touring cars and just about any car you would want to see.  Cost $14 Adults, Kids $5, Kids 5 and under FREE.   3. Zoo Boo
    One of Tampa’s largest family friendly Halloween events is back for another year with haunted houses and trails, costume characters, boo houses and season lights.  Coolest thing about ZooBoo? Each spooky attraction has a “scare factor” rating so you can decide the scare level for your little goblins, and well… maybe you. Guests can also enjoy unlimited Zoo rides in the dark! Tickets range from $18 for adults, $14 (ages 3-11) and kids 2 and under are free.

  4. Howl-O-Scream
    For those looking to be terrified be sure to get tickets this weekend to experience Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens.  This year prepare for tormenting surprises around every corner and unexpected terrors  from the evil 13 like #7 Surgeon, #4 Butcher, #13 Clown and the one I actually had the chance to come face-to-face with , #6 Voodoo Queen inside one of the newest houses, Death Water Bayou.  Her night servants roam with a zombie-like hunger and seek to grow her collection of minions of evil.  Check out my Howl-O-Scream “ScreamCam” video to see if I fell victim to her spell (and turn your speaker’s down… I was terrified!)   5. Oktoberfest in Curtis Hixon Park
    Celebrate German-style at the three-day Oktoberfest celebration at Curtis Hixon Park. They will be serving brats, schnitzels, and of course beer, including Marzens, Hefe’s, Dunkels! Enjoy our awesome weather at this waterfront event today (4-11 p.m.) through Sunday (Sat & Sun: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.). Cheers to music, games and an all-around great time!   6. Streetcar Fest, $.25 cent rides Saturday!
    To celebrate the 11th Anniversary of the streetcar line get around town and visit Tampa’s Historic Latin Quarter, Ybor City for the cost of a bubblegum ball! The event even includes live music in Centro Ybor by Distinguished Men of Brass, Green Sunshine and the Commoners.  Enjoy the $.25 cent rides Saturday from 10 a.m. – 1:30 a.m. and live music from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. For more information:
  7. Hyde Park Fall Festival & Craft Beer Brewhaha
    A delightful and frightful family-friendly night full of FREE fun benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa bay at Hyde Park Village in South Tampa.  On Saturday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. enjoy trick-or-treating for the kids, pick your pumpkin at the pumpkin patch, a wicked warehouse haunted house, food trucks and two beer trucks featuring 18 seasonal craft beers on draft, a not-so-haunted hay ride, Bounce House & more!   8. Tampa Bay Boat Show
    Whether you’re on the market for a boat, or dream of buying the latest model, this weekend’s Tampa Bay Boat Show is fun, free and showcases the newest toys for the water. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (5 p.m. on Sunday). More information:
  9. Seminole Heights Morning Market Chef-Off
    The Seminole Heights Sunday Morning Market kicks off its season with a Chopped-style “Chef Off” using market mystery ingredients.  The event is FREE to watch, but $10 for a sampling plate for People’s Choice vote.  Sunday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Hillsborough High School.  For more information visit: .
  10. Cupcake Festival at the Ybor Saturday Market
    Cupcake lovers enjoy this weekend’s sweet edition of the Ybor Saturday Market featuring a cupcake bake-off to determine the “Best Cupcake in Tampa Bay” for 2013. In addition to the great local products, produce and baked good at the market, there will be over 20 cupcake vendors serving tasty creations.
