The 67th Annual Fiesta Day, presented by the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce is along 7th avenue this Saturday, February 22nd from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a family-friendly, FREE “street festival” that celebrates the cuisine, culture and heritage of the Latin immigrants who settled in Ybor City at the turn of the 19th Century.  This festival started out as a “verbena” or day of rest for the cigar workers who settled in Ybor City’s, “Cigar City Capital of the World” from Spain, Cuba and Italy and now attracts thousands of passionate people to the festival’s exquisite ethnic food and entertainment. As far as entertainment goes, The Maxima stage will feature Orlando’s Latin American bands La Calle and Latin Wave Quartet along with Tampa’s SOMOS Flamenco Company.  For more information about Ybor City’s Fiesta Day visit:

In addition to the street festival, the 11th Annual Flan Fest will be happening at Centennial Park from 11a a.m. to 4 p.m.  Forty contestants will be competing for the Top Plan in Tampa Bay.  The judging will start at 12 Noon and winners will be selected in both traditional and non-traditional (chocolate, strawberry, etc..) categories.  Plan to sample plenty of Flan, as well as live entertainment and shopping at the usual Ybor City Saturday Market.  This Saturday market is a top-pick to the locals with over 70+ diverse vendors each week.  Products include gourmet foods and sauces, fresh baked breads, prepared foods, herbs and plants, honey, fine cigars, fresh local produce, pet treats, unique gifts, photography, artwork, jewelry, woodworking and so much more.  For more information on the Ybor City Saturday market visit:
