2012 Republican National Convention Re-Cap
They say that the "third time's a charm." In Tampa Bay, that's a reality! The effort began in 2002 when Tampa Bay bid on hosting the 2004 Republican National Convention.
The efforts would continue until Tampa Bay could lay claim to hosting the second largest media event in the world!
Tampa Bay learned on May 12, 2010 that more than 50,000 visitors would arrive for the 2012 Republican National Convention.
Understanding the international stage on which Tampa Bay would soon be placed, Tampa Bay & Company
designed and implemented a strategic, collaborative marketing program that would successfully engage all major community partners.
Tampa Bay was in the spotlight and we shined - our people, our places and our beauty. The 2012 RNC Re-cap outlines the succesful marketing campaigns implemented for the convention and illustrates the value of hosting a convention like the RNC.
