How Does Twitter Work?

Twitter allows people like you and me to communicate and stay connected by exchanging information in tiny (140 characters or less), simple conversations called "tweets." People all across the globe are using it to stay in touch with friends and family, stay up to date with celebrities, and get updates from organizations and businesses. You can follow friends and other things of interest, and others may choose to keep up with what you are doing and "follow" you. Think of it as an ongoing web conversation you can choose to observe or participate in, as long as your thoughts are brief!
