Press Trips

Tampa Bay & Company receives numerous media assistance requests each month. In order to best serve you, we ask that the following guidelines be followed when requesting press trips to Tampa:

• Complete the Media Assistance Form and email or fax to Travis Claytor at 813.218.3352.
• We encourage media to contact Tampa Bay & Company approximately two full weeks before traveling to Tampa so that we may adequately prepare for a successful visit. Once credentials have been verified, we will begin coordinating the necessary arrangements with our area partners. If less than two weeks notice is given, we will attempt to assist the journalist in every way we can; however, Tampa Bay & Company relies on our industry partners when conducting press trips, therefore we cannot guarantee all requests for assistance can be fully accommodated.
• Complimentary arrangements (i.e. accommodations, meals, attraction tickets, etc.) are provided at the discretion of our industry partners. If journalists cannot accept comps, a media rate will apply. All requests are subject to availability.
• Journalists should provide a letter of assignment on official letterhead from the media outlet they are representing at Tampa Bay & Company's request. If freelance journalists do not have a letter of assignment, they must provide three travel-related articles from the past two years.
• Tampa Bay & Company asks for an original article or a copy of the original article, a VHS or DVD of all Tampa travel pieces that are produced.

Please note: Our primary purpose is to assist the working press, therefore, locations might not be able to accommodate spouses, children or guests of the journalist. If journalists need special consideration, please contact us immediately to make the necessary arrangements.
