- Welcome to Tampa Bay
With our 2013 digital travel planner, viewers are exposed to a brief introduction to Tampa, how to get around, where to stay, things to do, dining and nightlife, and even area services.
Additionally, an interactive regional map helps visitors navigate the Tampa Bay area.
for children and adults. Experience what it's like to pedal a bicycle on a 1-inch cable suspended 30 feet above the ground or lie on a bed-of-nails in the Kids In Charge exhibit! Add to your MOSI experience with tickets to the world premiere of Sea Monsters Revealed, now open for a limited engagement. Visitors will descend to the depths to explore the sea floor and see, not only the outside, but also the inside of more than 200 of the most elusive aquatic life ever discovered, including a 6-foot-wide manta ray, a 15-foot-long mako shark, a giant squid, and an 18-foot-long, 3,000-pound whale shark.
Be sure to also check out MOSI’s two newest permanent exhibits: Slippery Science and Mission: Moonbase. Guests can experiment with friction, collision physics or ham it up on the JumboTron in Slippery Science, a PNC Passport to Science – Grow Up Great Initiative. Incorporating elements of the Tampa Bay Times Forum and Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team as a backdrop, Slippery Science includes a series of interactive exhibits that teach friction, physics and more! MOSI has also teamed up with NASA to create Mission: Moonbase. MOSI’s guests can travel to the moon on a space transport to help operate a lunar colony. They become part of a team, living and working on the moon in the year 2070, achieving what once seemed impossible – a home away from Earth.
Then head outside to experience an adrenaline rush like no other on MOSI’s Sky Trail® Ropes Course and brand new Zip Line. Daring riders will soar more than 700 feet over MOSI and then return to the Ropes Course to conquer 35 elements with high-energy feats ideal for all ages. This course will take fun to new heights and prove to be an adventure challenge for everyone! Visit mosi.org for more information.
