3. Busch Gardens : Firework Finale – July 3- 4, 2010
On July 3 and 4, the skies over Busch Gardens fill with fireworks right after Kinetix. Prime viewing spots include Gwazi Park and the Timbuktu area.
4. Jackson’s 4th of July Firework Display – July 3, 2010
Celebrate the 4th of July at Jackson’s on the 3rd of July with our fireworks display. DJ Tony Puccio will be playing and table reservations are available through Pied Piper Productions at 813-265-1234. We are dog friendly, so bring your best friend with you for brunch, lunch, dinner or happy hour!

5. Clearwater Celebrates America at Coachman Park- July 4, 2010
Clearwater Celebrates America, the city’s annual Independence Day celebration, will take place Sunday, July 4 in Coachman Park, 301 Drew St. The festival is free and will feature the Mostly Pops Orchestra with John and Mary K. Wilson, a fantastic fireworks display, craft show, children’s activities, and food and drink concessions. Gates open at 4 p.m. The Mostly Pops Orchestra begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Coachman Park is located in downtown Clearwater. For more information, call (727) 562-4700.

6. Tampa Bay History Museum is FREE for the 4th – July 4, 2010
The Tampa Bay History Center is celebrating Independence Day by offering free admission on the 4th of July. Made possible by Bank of America, everyone can enjoy free admission to the History Center's exhibit galleries, with extended hours from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. When the sun goes down, the History Center’s waterfront Terrace and air-conditioned Atrium are the perfect spots to watch the Channelside fireworks display. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. Enjoy a cool beverage at the Columbia Cafe, explore the downtown Riverwalk or bring a blanket and spread out in Cotanchobee Park, just outside the History Center’s front door.

7. Tampa Bay Rowdies Fireworks- July 4, 2010
With World Cup fever among us this is the perfect weekend to check out a professional soccer game in your own backyard. The FC Tampa Bay Rowdies will take on rival Miami FC in July 4th soccer game at George M. Steinbrenner Field at 7:00 p.m. There will be a spectacular fireworks show to follow the game. 9. Free Double Tree Cookies – July 4, 2010
On the First and Fourth of July, two days filled with fun, fireworks and patriotic traditions, Doubletree Hotels is offering the “sweet treat” of complimentary, freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies to anyone who walks into any of its more than 200 locations on Canada Day and Independence Day. No purchase is necessary. Limit one fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie per person. 1. Trike-N-Roll for Christians Fight- June 12, 2010
Christian's Fight, supported by the Greater Florida Chapter of Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (FSMA) and event sponsors, invites you to participate in the “Trike-N-Roll.” The goal of the event is to raise awareness and money for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) research, education and advocacy, along with funds for the care and medical needs of Christian Cuadrado, Type 2 SMA. The Trike-N-Roll will feature three sponsored races on a marked course for different age groups (2-5, 6-9, and 10-12 years). Prizes will be awarded for first place finisher in each age group as well as to the child that collects the most donations overall. Packets, which will be mailed, include entry forms and sponsorship information. A $20 minimum donation is requested per adult and $5 per participating child who pre-register, and sponsorships are encouraged. The registration fee will increase by $5 on the day of the event.

4. Small Dog Rescue Adoptathon - June 12, 2010

9. Tampa Bay Caribbean Carnival - June 12- 13, 2010
Reggaeton Superstar-Daddy Yankee, Reggae Artist-Shaggy, Queen of Soca-Allison Hinds, the Haitian Sensation Band – Carimi and More Will Ignite the Caribbean Culture at Vinoy Park (501 5th Ave NE St. Petersburg, FL 33701) on June 12th-13th. The carnival will also feature a steel drum competition, lively “mas” costume parade, several authentic Caribbean/Latin food, beverage and product vendors. This year promoters expect nearly 30,000 for the two day event compared to the 23,000 from last year’s event. The Tampa Bay Caribbean Carnival will kick off at noon on Saturday, June 12th and culminate on Sunday, June 13th at 10pm.
