There’s sun, fun and beautiful music at the Florida Opera Festival

In addition to the comfortable temperatures and sunny skies that typify Tampa Bay winters, the area will be filled with beautiful music and grand opera. The Florida Opera Festival has something for everyone from opera aficionados to those who have never experienced opera.  Here are a few upcoming shows at David A. Katherine Jenkins in Concert
Stunning mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins, Britain’s all-time-best-selling classical artist and America’s sweetheart from Dancing With the Stars, will illuminate Ferguson Hall with her enchanting voice and charismatic personality.  Tickets start around $100 and can be purchased here.

 Puccini’s La Bohème
Music by Giacomo Puccini

Follow the tale of Puccini’s young Parisians who live an exuberant bohemian existence surviving on love and laughter.  A poet discovers true love with a lovely, fragile seamstress.  A painter and a vivacious cabaret singer rediscover their on-again, off-again passion. Surrounded by the evocative rooftops, cafes and garrets of Paris, these lively bohemians and their companions experience exhilarating joy and irretrievable loss. Tickets start around $34.50 and can be purchased here.
