TAMPA BAY & COMPANY WELCOMES VISITORS, NEW PARTNERS IN OCTOBER
At the heart of Tampa Bay & Company lie the many volunteers that continue to welcome visitors to our destination. During the month of October, Tampa Bay & Company staff and volunteers assisted nearly 1,400 visitors at its Channelside Visitor Information Center (VIC) and handled nearly 170 inquiry phone calls. In addition, volunteers contributed almost 280 hours of service at the VIC and community events throughout the month.

Tampa to Host World Dragon Boat Championship
The International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) has selected Tampa Bay to host the 2011 IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championship. The event is scheduled to take place in August of 2011 on Seddon Channel in downtown Tampa.

Area Business Benefit from the successful ACC Men's Basketball Tournament
Tampa, FL – During the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Men’s Basketball Tournament March 8 – 11, many Bay area businesses were optimistic about the opportunity to score big points with fans in town for the tournament.
