There's nothing quite like watching the beautiful game under the warm Florida sun in the month of December! That's right soccer fans, get ready as Championship soccer makes it way to the sunshine state as the City of Tampa is honored to serve as host for the 37th Annual Men's & Women's NCAA Division II Soccer Championships.
After a long awaited week of DII soccer, the final eight (4 men & 4 women teams) have been selected and will pack their bags for sunny Tampa, FL. Correction, seven teams are packing their bags. Yes folks that’s right, the University of Tampa men, also serving as host institution, made it to the semi finals after a thrilling come from behind double overtime win against Tusculum College.
The opposition on the men's side who will join the University of Tampa are Cal. St. Dominguez Hills, Northern Kentucky and Dowling. On the women’s side Tampa will welcome Metro State, Seattle Pacific, St. Rose and West Florida.
All NCAA II Championship matches will be played at Pepin Stadium. The stadium is located on the campus of The University of Tampa and holds a capacity of 1,500 fans.
